Recall that Gusau had parted ways with Governor Bello Matatwalle after he refused to join the defecting governor and other elected officials in Zamfara to the All Progressives Congress (APC) l ast year.
The Assembly, in a statement by Shamsudeen Basko, House Standing Committee Chairman, said the Deputy Governor was accused of abusing office, criminal self-enrichment using public fund and failure to discharge official duties.
Gusau was impeached during the plenary after the Assembly received the report of the committee.
The seven-man investigative panel was set up by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Kulu Aliyu, to investigate the allegations against him.
