Rotimi Amaechi, the former minister of transportation, is a “complete failure,” according to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who also said Amaechi no longer have access to Aso Villa in Abuja.
Wike, who has never masked his dislike for Amaechi, said this Monday, September 12, when commissioning a project in his state.
“This should be the last time that you (Amaechi) will talk about this state because you are a total failure as far as this state is concerned. A total failure. Even what is supposed to come to us, you blocked it but we didn’t bother.
“You think you will not finish as a minister, you have left. I hear he can’t even enter Villa now. All those periods you intimidated police people, and army people are over. You use to tell them, ‘The President is angry with you’. Now, go and tell them’‘ he said.
Amaechi, who served as governor of Rivers from May 2007 to May 2015, criticized Wike on Saturday at the funeral of a ruler named Alabo Graham-Douglas in the state’s Akuku Toru Local Government Area.
The former minister had knocked Wike, who wasn’t there at the burial, and expressed his belief that the state will take full responsibility for the Kalabari chief and acknowledge him.
But Wike said in his response today that he skipped the funeral because it was politicized.
