Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos has been appointed as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, made the announcement of the appointment in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
The appointment is for a three-year first term in a statement released on Wednesday and signed by Segun Adeyemi, Special Assistant to the President (Media) Office of the Minister of Information and Culture.
Dembos served as the NTA’s Executive Director of Marketing prior to his appointment.
Dembos has worked in the media for more than 20 years.
He has held a number of positions including Zonal Director at NTA in Kaduna and General Manager of two NTA Stations in Lokoja and Kano.
