A number of motorists in Anambra State have been abducted by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers.
According to reports, the victims were abducted at a checkpoint on the Nkwelle/Isiagu/Nibo Road.
The occupants of the cars were kidnapped amid gunfire, according to an eyewitness.
Witness stated that despite security checkpoints, there had been multiple cases of kidnapping of motorists on that specific road.
One of the victims, according to Festus Okafor, was a former Anambra House of Assembly member from Agulu, Hon. Sylvester Okeke.
He further said that the incident occurred on Friday, October 14, 2022.
