The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a new policy regulation on over-the-counter cash withdrawals.
According to Nairametrics, the new regulation requires deposit money banks and other financial institutions to guarantee that over-the-counter cash withdrawals by individuals and corporate organizations do not exceed N100,000 and N500,000 per week, respectively.
The new cash withdrawal limit, which was revealed in a circular issued today by the central bank and obtained by Nairametrics, would be implemented nationwide on January 9, 2023.
