The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has explained why he is at odds with the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Senator Iyorchia Ayu, who is the party’s National Chairman.
He claims that the reason behind his rage is the pair’s disregard for their agreements.
According to Wike, he said Ayu vowed to step down if the party’s presidential candidate comes from the north.
He claimed that Atiku met him after he won, asked for his support, and pledged that Ayu would step down in accordance with the PDP Constitution.
Wike asserted that the presidential candidate and the party chairman can never come from the same zone without consequences, calling it absurd that Ayu and Atiku had broken their pledges.
