On Monday, October 10, about 8 a.m., a fire broke out at the Kogi State House of Assembly.
At the time of reporting this story on Monday morning, the cause of the fire remained unknown.
According to Dailypost, the assembly gallery was entirely destroyed.
While addressing the media at the assembly complex, the Speaker of the House, Prince Mathew Kolawole, stated that the house will allow security services to investigate the event.
He, however, said this would not stop the assembly from performing its duty as the resolution of the house concerning Dangote Cement Plc stands.
