Ayodeji Balogun, the popular Afrobeat singer, who is famously known as Wizkid, has slammed Nigerian rappers.
He replied all the Nigerian rappers who have come for him since he shared his opinion about rap music.
The ‘Bad To Me’ crooner, speaking in a recent interview with 10 magazine, said he doesn’t listen to rap because the genre is ‘dead, boring and tired’. He rated Afrobeats over other music genres and declared it the new pop.
Nigerian rappers who did not appreciate this review from Wizkid have taken to social media to voice their displeasure.
Indigenous Nigerian rapper, Oladips, who was also offended by the comment, released a diss track to lampoon Wizkid.
Taking to Snapchat, Wizkid replied to the rappers calling them broke and boldly stating that he did not recognize them as artistes when he was speaking.
According to him, there were only three rappers in Africa and none of them were Nigerians.
His words; “Broke boys.

Y’all are not even rappers! Nasty C/ Sarkodie/ black sherif the only rappers in Africa. Y’all dumb fucks.
Y’all keep sending una popsy rap videos! I go dey watch maybe i fit help una mama life!”
