The Federal Government has asked for another round of meeting with Labour unions over the new national minimum wage.
FG called for another meeting through the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, NSIWC.
The proposed meeting will hold by 10 am on Tuesday.
The previous committee meeting on May 31 ended abruptly when the Organised Labour negotiating team walked out due to the government and organised private sector’s refusal to increase the offer beyond N60,000.
According to Vanguard, the move indicates that the government is concerned about the workers’ compliance and participation in the ongoing indefinite nationwide strike.
Recall that organized labour shut down the nation’s economy on Monday due to the Federal government’s inability to adopt its proposed national minimum wage.
