I Apologize To The Youths that Voted You For Your Stupidity – VeryDarkMan Fires Back At Arewa Youths President (Video)

Social media activist, Vincent Martins Otse aka Verydarkman has responded after the Arewa Youth President, issued a 48-hour ultimatum to apologize to the Sultan of Sokoto over a video he made.

The backlash began after VDM reacted to a statement by the Sultan, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, who described social media as a “terrorist organization.”

In his video, VDM challenged that claim and defended the positive impact of social media in Nigeria, but some interpreted his comments as disrespectful to the Sultan.

Reacting to the AYCF ultimatum, VDM unleashed a scathing response in another video. He sarcastically apologized—not for insulting the Sultan—but for what he described as the “ignorance and illiteracy” of those misinterpreting his message.

“I want to apologize that a lot of you are illiterate,” he said, directly addressing the Arewa Youth President. “You’re giving me 48 hours to apologize? I’m giving you 48 hours to go and rescue Arewa girls trafficked to Ivory Coast. Where were you when Chibok girls were taken? When bandits were kidnapping your people? How many 48-hour ultimatums did you give Boko Haram?”

He also questioned the legitimacy of the AYCF’s authority over him. “You’re the president of Arewa Youth. I’m the president of Nigerian youth. Your jurisdiction is the North, mine is the entire Nigeria,” he said.

VDM further insisted that he never disrespected the Sultan of Sokoto. “Disrespecting the Sultan would be like insulting the Oba of Benin. I would never do that. My words were carefully chosen. I was only responding to what the Sultan said about social media,” he explained.

He ended the video with a strong warning: “Be very careful what you say about me. If 48 hours pass, what exactly are you going to do? I’m waiting. You better be careful, or you’ll learn the hard way.”

The fiery response has stirred even more conversation online, with many Nigerians debating whether VDM crossed the line or simply exercised his right to express dissent.
