Share

A Nigerian man has allegedly been kidnapped shortly after stepping out to buy fufu for his meal.

The incident was shared on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), where a video capturing a man narrating the situation was posted.

In the video, the narrator explained that the victim had only left his house briefly to buy fufu, but was abducted on his way back home in Delta State.

“Last night, a man walked out of his house to go and buy fufu that he would eat. After buying it and on his way back home, he was kidnapped,” the man said in the video.

As the post gained attention online, many concerned users took to the comment section to express their shock and share their reactions to the incident.

See some reactions below:

@AwojobiPeace: “They should protect their selves, even the government don use style talk am, but remember to remove the cameras 🎥 from your doings just like the Fulani people, them no dey use camera make una learn not to use Camera too.”

@Unitedmukky: “This thing will get worse except a neutral govt comes in and actually starts fighting this evil. If you arm your local vigilante the same govt will call them terrorists and arrest them, probably disarm them.”

@Arrizyn: “The local people will choose to protect their communities, catch the kidnappers only for the Nigerian police to release them and when they take matters into their own hands… the government arrests the local vigilantes. There’s is no legislature backing the local vigilantes.”

@c_ekedobe: “We better say the truth. There’s no government in Nigeria. It’s been over 10yrs we started battling with severe insecurity, but the people in power seem not to care about the poor masses. They have been doing the same thing over and over again and getting no positive result.”
