Bayelsa State Government has declared Tuesday (today) as public holiday.
This is to enable workers in the public and private sectors to actively take part in the state’s annual thanksgiving service.
The Governor of the state, Douye Diri, made the announcement through a ‘Government Special Announcement’ issued on Monday in Yenagoa by the state Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Ayibaina Duba.
According to the statement, “His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, has declared Tuesday, November 2, 2021 as work-free day in line with the State Annual Thanksgiving Law to enable both public and private sector workers to participate fully.
