At least six people were reportedly killed during the United States Independence Day parade on Monday.
July 4, marked another federal holiday in the US to commemorate the declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the country’s second continental congress on July 4, 1776.
While the countrymen were busy observing the event in the state of Illinois today, a shooter reportedly showed up and began shooting sporadically, killing no fewer than six people.
Shooting specifically took place in the city of Highland Park, located near Chicago.
While details about the incident are still sketchy at the moment, at least 24 people reportedly sustained degrees of wounds.
