In what we come across as really startling development, male secondary school students are now demonstrating against the state government’s new policy to separate boys and girls in schools on the streets of Bauchi.
The administration has finalized plans to separate male and female pupils in secondary schools in the state, according to Mr. Aliyu Tilde, the commissioner for education in Bauchi State.
Tilde stated that the proposal will only be carried out whenever and wherever it is feasible while speaking to reporters following a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting in Bauchi.
He added that the goal was to combat the moral degradation that has grown pervasive among secondary school students.
He predicted that private schools would take the lead from this endeavor and split the genders in different institutions, with the males attending their academic activities in one facility and the girls in another.
