Labour Party has reportedly taken over the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State.
DailyPost reported that things have been on edge following the emergence of Barr. Ugochukwu Agballah as the State chairman.
Some weeks back, a delegation of prominent party stakeholders visited the APC secretariat and demanded the constitution of a caretaker committee.
However, Agballah refused to comply with the demands of the delegation including the Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama and a former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani.
After assuming his position as the state chairman, Agballa has been operating from the South-East zonal office of the party.
Not long ago, the owner of the building housing the APC’s State Secretariat, located at No 126 Park Avenue, GRA Enugu, dragged the party to court over rent issues.
LP has now unveiled the same building as its State Secretariat.
