Atiku has vowed to block his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Tinubu from snatching power in 2023.
Atiku in a statement sent to Naija News on Sunday accused Tinubu of attempting to arm-twist Nigerians in order to take over power.
The PDP candidate in the statement titled ‘Join me in the Army in Defence of Democracy’ submitted that the APC has failed Nigerians and the party as well as its candidate must not be allowed to return to power in 2023.
The former Vice President called on Nigerians to reject Tinubu and the APC during the 2023 general elections.
He made the submission in reaction to a viral video in which Tinubu was captured telling his team members that political power is not served in a restaurant or ala carte and a person must be determined to get it at all costs.
He noted that if taking over political power will involve fighting for it, an individual should snatch it, grab it and run with it.
However, Atiku has vowed to stand against the former Lagos State Governor’s ambition and called on Nigerians to join him in the struggle to ‘recover Nigeria.’
