Following the multi-million dollars move by Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr, the Portuguese star is now the highest-paid footballer in the world.
Ronaldo completed a staggering £175 million-per-year deal with the Saudi club on Friday.
According to CBS reports, once ad revenue is included, the entire volume of Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr would earn the Portuguese up to €216m a year, effectively making him the highest-earning footballer.
With the new bumper contract, Ronaldo is now far ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi who earns €75m per season with Paris Saint-Germain, and his clubmate Neymar who is on €70m.

Silva Speaks On EPL Title
Manchester City star, Bernardo Silva says the race for the 2022/23 Premier League title is still very much open and can be won by a number of clubs.
Though he acknowledged that current league leaders, Arsenal are in a good position and could go on to win the title, Silva said the race is far from over.
Gunners currently seat top of the table, holding a 5-point lead over Manchester City in second place but Silva said the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Man City all have a chance at finishing on top at the end of the season.
The City star spoke ahead of his team’s clash with Everton on Saturday.
He said any club including Arsenal could still drop points while others could amass points and positions could change very quickly on the League table as every team is still fighting.
