Taliban Orders Beheading Of Female Mannequins

The Taliban government has ordered clothing shop owners in Kabul to behead or completely cover the faces of female mannequins on display.

Following their takeover,  the Taliban stated that the mannequins “violate” Islamic law.

Several disturbing images of masked and beheaded female mannequins from clothing shops in Kabul have now surfaced online.

Aziz, a shop owner, told the News Agency Associated Press that agents of the Ministry of Vice and Virtue constantly visit shops to ensure that shop owners adhere to the rule and keep female mannequins either masked or beheaded.

“Everyone knows mannequins aren’t idols, and no one’s going to worship them. In all Muslim countries, mannequins are used to display clothes,” the shop owner added.
