Two people are said to have died in Osun State’s House of Assembly election on Saturday.
Gbenga, a middle-aged man who was alleged to be drunk, rammed into an army roadblock, causing an accident.
He was rushed to the hospital by the officers of the Nigerian Army where he was pronounced dead.
In addition, the Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the State of Osun, Rashidi Adeniji has reportedly shot a member of the People Democratic Party (PDP), simply identified as Gani Gele to death, in Ila Orangun.
Kehinde Adeleke, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, confirmed the assassination. She stated that the accused murderer had been apprehended.
