A Nigerian man who arrived Canada two months ago has been found dead in his apartment.
A Nigerian lawyer, Addlin, who disclosed this in a post on X, said the lifeless body of the man was discovered on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
According to her, the deceased’s phone and laptop are missing from the apartment.
She called on the Nigerian Embassy to look into the demise because the circumstances surrounding his death are unclear.
“My friend’s brother who travelled to Canada in December with an express entry visa was found dead in his room yesterday. The family couldn’t reach him for about 4 days and when they got worried and reached out to the police, the police went to his apartment and found him lifeless,” she wrote on Monday.
“His phone and laptop were missing. Family is devastated, they need closure, they want to see his body, but they can’t.., they’re just living in mere words. The police said an autopsy will be done, and investigation carried out. But the family really needs help.
“The Nigerian embassy needs to step in and look into it, because the circumstances are very fishy. Please tag anyone you think can be of help.
“The autopsy result says there is no anatomical cause of death.”
