A Nigerian filmmaker, Seun Egbegbe has narrated his experience in prison following his release.

Recall that he regained his freedom from prison in 2022 after being convicted for a crime.

During a recent interview with actress Biola Bayo on Talk to B show, he revealed that though he has done dirty things in the past, he has never killed someone.

He revealed that famous people were brought to the cell where he was, including Ex-Governor Fayose, Former INEC chairman, Mompha and more.

He disclosed that in 2020, they didn’t appear in court throughout the year because of COVID.

He praised the Redeemed Christian Church of God for caring for them in prison as he recounted how they fed him and 3000 inmates every Sunday. He admonished citizens never to flee from any crime.

“I have done a lot of dirty things in the past but I have never k!lled someone. Famous people were brought to the cell where I was, including ex-Governor Fayose, former INEC chairman, Mompha, etc. In 2020, during COVID, we didn’t appear in court throughout the year. I will advise everyone to flee from cr!me. The Redeemed Church really tried for us in prison. Throughout my stay there, they brought jollof rice, two meat and bottled water each every Sunday for over 3000 inmates”.

Recall that Olajide Kareem, also known as Seun Egbegbe, was found guilty of fraud and sentenced to six years and eight months in jail on February 10, 2017, in Lagos. He was accused of scamming no fewer than 30 bureau de change operators in Lagos of various sums both in local and foreign currencies between 2015 and 2017.

According to him, 95 per cent of those close to him abandoned him while he was in detention. He noted that his personal assistant, who idolised him, did not visit him while he was locked up.
