A Nigerian lawyer, Stella, has disclosed that people can file a lawsuit against their exes for breach of promise of marriage.
“You can sue your ex for breach of promise to marry and stop being emotional. It’s your right,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
The lawyer, however, stated that in order to establish a breach of promise to marry, it’s crucial to “demonstrate the existence of a promise and reasonable reliance leading to loss or detriment”
