Insecurity: Resign And Immediately – Davido’s Aide, Isreal DMW Tells Edo Governor, Okpebholo
Share

Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW, has called on Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, to resign and hand over power to Asue Ighodalo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last Edo governorship election.

In a post on Instagram, Israel DMW claimed that the majority of Edo voters elected Ighodalo as governor and alleged that Okpebholo’s administration has brought unrest to the state since taking office.

“My dear governor Okpebholo, I want to specially beg and advise that you resign and immediately hand over to Asue Ighodalo, who majority of we Edolites truly voted as our governor sir,” he wrote.

He further alleged that the “ancestors” were displeased with the outcome of the election, describing it as an act of “pure robbery” and likening it to Nigeria’s controversial June 12, 1993, presidential election.

“The entire state has not had one single peace since you took over sir. The ANCESTORS are fully angry with the pure robbery that took place. Some Heads are too very strong to be cheated. Some robberies sometimes don’t get successful. We know you have connections to cover everything sir. We know the real truth of what transpired would come out many years later, like June 12 sir,” he added.

Governor Okpebholo, who emerged victorious under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has not responded to Israel DMW’s statement. The Edo governorship election remains a topic of debate, with opposition figures raising concerns about its credibility.
