An Alhaja has been seen in a viral video shedding crocodile tears.
It was gathered that the woman was battered by her husband, an Islamic cleric, over N800.
A video of her battered face was posted on X.
In the video, the Alhaja recounts the incident: “At midnight, he wanted to get intimate with me, but I told him I was tired. After that, I asked for food money, and he refused. I opened his bag to check for money and found ₦800 inside. He immediately bent my arm, started beating me, and hit me in the eyes with his head.”
Throughout the video, several voices can be heard advising the woman to leave the marriage, condemning the man’s actions and expressing concern for her ongoing mistreatment.
