President William Ruto of Kenya has jokingly made an observation about Nigerian men.
He noted that Nigerian men are marrying all their daughters.
Ruto stated this after his two daughters got married to Nigerians.
While speaking at a wedding ceremony, the African leader in a video that has gone viral, jokingly lamented the recent shift in the choice of husbands among Kenyan girls, with Nigerians becoming more preferable to Kenyan men.
He then questioned why Kenyan men are taking the backseat, warning that his country might soon experience a brain drain if their women continue to marry Nigerians.
“My daughter is married to a Nigerian, and this one is now married to a Nigerian. And our guys around; I don’t know, are you slow? I don’t know. We need to balance this scale because at this rate, we are going to have a brain drain from Kenya,” –Ruto said
