A 19-year-old Nigerian lady who recently gave birth to twins has raised concerns online after revealing that her boyfriend fled shortly after the delivery, leaving her stranded in the hospital for six months due to unpaid bills.
The heartbreaking incident was shared in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), alongside a video showing the young mother narrating her ordeal.
According to her, she has not seen the father of her children since giving birth and has been unable to leave the hospital due to outstanding payments.
She also disclosed that one of the twins is suffering from an eye problem, and there is no money to buy the prescribed drugs.
“I’m 19, and I haven’t seen the person who got me pregnant for about six months now,” she said in the video.
She added: “Even my mum, who was supposed to help me, is sick and currently hospitalized. One of my babies is ill, and we’ve been asked to buy drugs, but there’s no money. I don’t even have anywhere to go after discharge.”
