Mohbad’s friend, Damola, has disputed claims by the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, that Mohbad and Wunmi never held a traditional wedding.
Earlier, Naijalamp reported that a video of Mr Aloba saying what Wunmi and Mohbad had a wedding introduction and not traditional wedding, had surfaced online.
In the video, Mr Aloba claimed he was boxed into attending the introduction as he had no prior knowledge of it. He said he arrived on the day to see his son only for him to be handed a cloth and asked to participate in the introduction ceremony.
He said where he comes from, the family head is supposed to be in attendance at a traditional wedding and that that was not the case with the ceremony Wunmi and Mohbad had.
He mentioned that Mohbad had told him that he will marry Wunmi immediately she put to bed, however, he said Mohbad reneged on his promise the singer caught Wunmi cheating on him.
Mr Aloba insisted that there was never a traditional wedding between Wunmi and Mohbad. He said the cheating claim made against her by Mohbad is the reason he is insisting a DNA test is carried out on Liam, the son Mohbad left behind.
To counter his claim, one of Mohbad’s friends, Damola, has released videos from the said traditional wedding, He also released a video of him and others serving as Mohbad’s grooms men and them holding bundles of Naira notes they sprayed at the ceremony.
