“Where Were u When My Sister Needed U?” – Late Allwell’s Brother Calls Out Nollywood Stars, Iyabo Ojo Reacts
Share

The brother of late Nollywood actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola has publicly called out some popular Nigerian actors, accusing them of suddenly showing love after her death despite allegedly failing to support her while she was alive.

In a video now trending on social media, the grieving brother expressed anger over what he described as “performative love.”

He questioned why many top actors who are now posting emotional tributes were nowhere to be found when his sister truly needed help and professional support.

According to him, despite Allwell’s kindness and willingness to support others, many A-list actors did not reciprocate the same energy toward her career.

He wondered why actors now mourning her did not feature her in their major productions or help promote her work when she needed visibility.

Speaking emotionally, he claimed that some colleagues benefitted from Allwell’s generosity, including using their family home as a filming location, yet allegedly failed to support her when it mattered most.

He said:

“Everybody dey post rest in peace. How many of you supported my sister when she was alive? All of una A-list actors wey call una self her friends… when una dey do movies, did you put Allwell?”

Reacting to the outburst, actress Iyabo Ojo, who was reportedly mentioned, did not remain silent.

She strongly defended herself, insisting she stood by Allwell while she was alive.

Iyabo stated that she worked with the late filmmaker several times without collecting payment and also supported her emotionally and financially as she grew in the industry.

“I oversupported your sister when she was alive. When she was building her career as a producer and director, I featured in her movies countless times for free and also supported financially and emotionally. May her beautiful soul continue to rest in perfect peace,” she said.
