The Person Who Molested My 5-Year-Old Daughter Is Her Father” — Woman Cries For Help (Video)

A mother has made a public appeal for legal and humanitarian intervention, accusing her husband of sexually abusing their five-year-old daughter and alleging that influential figures are attempting to suppress the case.

In a video statement circulating online, the distraught mother claimed that despite multiple medical reports confirming the abuse and consistent testimonies from the child, the suspect is using his wealth and social status to evade prosecution.

According to the complainant, the incident was initially reported to local police before being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) for a discrete investigation.

The mother stated that both the initial medical examiners and the State CID ordered separate clinical evaluations.

“They did another medical report. It still shows the same thing,” she said, adding that investigators and medical doctors had independently interviewed the minor.

The mother further emphasized the consistency of the child’s account, noting that despite regular interaction with other male figures at school, church, and within the extended family, the five-year-old has explicitly and exclusively named her father.

The child also alleged that the suspect subjected her to physical abuse, stating he “beats her with a belt.”

The case has raised concerns regarding institutional handling of child protection matters, with the mother alleging that she was pressured to drop the criminal complaint.

“I ran to the police. I’ve run to the court. The court is saying I should go and settle out of court,” the mother stated in her appeal.

Under Nigerian law, serious criminal offenses and felonies—particularly capital offenses and child defilement—cannot legally be settled through out-of-court mediation or civil arbitration.

Fearing that the suspect’s financial influence will derail the judicial process, the mother has called on child rights advocates, non-governmental organizations, and higher judicial authorities to step in and ensure a transparent prosecution.
