A man has broken down in tears after his girlfriend, whom he reportedly sponsored through school, allegedly abandoned him and married another man.
The man expressed his heartbreak in a viral video shared on social media, claiming that he sold his father’s property to support the woman’s education during their three-year relationship.
According to the man, his girlfriend only realised that he was not educated after he had made significant sacrifices to support her education.
He wrote: “Three years of relationship. After I sold my father’s property to sponsor your education, it is now that you realise I’m not educated. My God will surely judge you.”
The video has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many users debating whether financial support in a relationship should come with expectations of marriage or commitment.
Some commenters sympathised with the man, while others criticised him for selling his father’s property to fund his girlfriend’s education.
