Kwasi Kwarteng, the UK Finance Minister, has been sacked. On Friday, British Prime Minister Liz Truss sacked Kwarteng.
AFP said that Truss fired the chancellor of the exchequer in person after rushing back from international meetings in Washington, and she was expected to deliver her first Downing Street press conference later that day.
There was no immediate comment on who will succeed him as Britain’s fourth Finance Minister this year.
